49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has had a lot to say about the Eagles at the end of this season, but he seems to be done tackling the subject.
Samuel, who previously said the 49ers would beat the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game if Brock Purdy was healthy, was asked about it in an interview with CBS Sports Radio’s Zach Gelb.
“I mean, I said what I said,” replied Samuel.
Samuel was then asked about the 49ers-Eagles rematch this season.
“I don’t know. Just wait until Week 13, 12, whatever week it is, and we’ll show you,” said Samuel.
With that, a female voice, apparently the publicist who arranged the interview, is heard to say, “Hey, guys, all right, we’re ready to go.” And that was the end of the interview, with Samuel apparently too irritated to be asked about the Eagles to continue.
Gelb said he was told he would have 15 minutes with Samuel, but Samuel only spoke for five or six minutes. It wasn’t clear why Samuel suddenly refused to talk about a topic he wanted to discuss before, but this definitely wouldn’t be the last time Samuel was asked about Eagle.
