Healthy snack recipes for weight loss: cabbage chips
If you have read me Top 10 Superfoods blog post, than you are well aware of my love cabbage chips. So I finally decided to include my super simple kale chip recipe so you all can try it too and let me know what you think!
First of all let me just remind you of how Healthy Kale is for you and why, if you love this recipe, you should include it in your current snack rotation. Not only is it full of vitamins and minerals, but it’s also low in calories which makes it even more nutrient dense.
Health benefits of kale:
- Just one cup of Kale contains almost twice as much Vitamin A as you need for the day
- Kale is easily one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet, meaning it has few calories but tons of nutrients
- You can find antioxidants like quercetin, flavonoids and beta-carotene in kale that help fight free radicals and reduce the risk of cancer.
- Kale helps aid in the digestion of fats which leads to less reabsorption of fatty acids into the bloodstream and in turn lowers cholesterol levels
- The low calorie nature of kale makes it great for weight loss
How to Bake Kale Chips
Baked kale chips is one of my favorite recipes for kale chips because they are so easy to make and almost everyone has an oven. I also use my air fryer and occasionally make kale chips in an air fryer, but not everyone has one of those, so I’ve used a recipe I think more people could benefit from!
A few things to remember when making roasted kale chips are to never overdo it with oil, and make sure you use extra virgin olive oil as the lighter the better. Olive oil is basically what makes kale chips taste great so they should be light and delicious. I recommend using Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil because I think it tastes good but any brand will do!
You also don’t want to make the mistake I always do and over-salt them! Just add a light layer to start and then you can add more later if you think they need more flavor.
Salt love. 😛

How to Make Kale Chips in an Air Fryer
If you are lucky enough to own an air fryer (LOVE my air fryer), you can easily tweak this recipe by simply using an air fryer instead of the oven.
Follow the same steps listed in my recipe above but instead of grilling them you can set your air fryer to about 325 degrees and let them cook for 10-12 minutes, depending on how many kale chips you can put on them. in your air fryer all at once. time.
My air fryer is on the smaller side so it takes me two to three batches to get the same amount as you would from a baking sheet in the oven but most air fryers can contain the same volume as a medium cookie sheet.
That’s basically for kale chips… super simple and super tasty! Let me know what you think of them in the comments below 😊
