
Waiter not the first AppleTV+ series to premiere, nor is it the first to complete its run. But M. Night Shyamalan’s paranoid thriller is the most consistent of any streaming series. What started as Rosemary’s baby-esque thriller evolves into a supernatural horror story full of cultists, witches, corpses, and all manner of delusions and jump scares. But Waiter also more than just another scary story. Set mainly around a single house in Philadelphia, it expands in scope slightly over the course of the series, but firmly focuses on the Turner family and their nanny, Leanne.
Last season of Waiter, again helmed by M. Night Shyamalan, concludes the Turners saga with a strong pilot episode that sets the tone and structure for the saga’s concluding chapters. With the promise of answers about who Leanne is and how she got her powers, why she brought Jericho back to life for Dorothy and Sean, and whether the main characters will survive, we only have a few weeks to enjoy the series before it heads off. airwaves.
I chatted about the final season with three of the series’ stars as they reflected on the show’s journey.
